What we know
Sequels to fifteen-year-old slots are a genre of their own now, and this is one of the more loaded examples. The 2011 original was a NetEnt landmark, the game that made walking wilds a standard mechanic. Whatever the sequel does will be measured against that, fairly or not.
What the provider published at launch was thin: a 5x5 grid, bets from 0.20 to 20.00, both a bonus round and the option to buy into it, and the line "More info coming soon". The return has since been revised from 96.25% to 96.32% - seven hundredths, small enough to read as a correction rather than a rebuild, but worth noting that it moved after release at all.
The number that was missing has since appeared, and it is the one worth having: 20,000x. The 2011 original caps at 7,100x, so the sequel allows nearly three times as much on a game whose own stake ceiling is a fifth of its predecessor's. Smaller bets against a far higher cap describes a different kind of game wearing an old name.
The 96.32% return is slightly above the studio's recent average, for whatever that is worth on a single unqualified figure. Still absent: RTP versions, a hit rate, a volatility value and any win probabilities. NetEnt filled in the ceiling and stopped there.
